Giving Back to Our Community: Ocala’s Bring the Harvest Home
The holiday season is underway and it is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of holiday merrymaking. To start the season with kindness and gratitude, we urge you to give back to our community however you can. The Bring the Harvest Home Food Drive is taking place in our community right now and will continue till Friday, December 3. Donations will benefit the Salvation Army, Interfaith Emergency Services, and Brother’s Keeper. Please consider contributing what you can to help our community.
Items Needed:
Baby Items: baby cereal, diapers, and lotion
Canned meats: corned beef, corned beef hash, ham, and tuna
Canned vegetables and fruit
Dry foods and complementary goods: rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, crackers, peanut butter, and jelly
Toiletries: soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper
Donations can be dropped off through Dec. 2nd at the below locations:
Public Libraries
City and County Fire Stations
Marion County Solid Waste recycling centers
Sheriff's District Offices
Tax Collector Offices
Ocala Police Department
Supervisor of Elections
Ocala City Hall
Marion County Administration
Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership
